These were taken by Sophomore Mykenzie Davis. “In 12th grade, I had a good friend who is a dancer, and I had a new camera for Christmas. So, we decided to do a fun dance photoshoot- a photoshoot where she could show off her skills and where I could develop a portfolio. It was completely for fun. We ran around town in the winter, and it was a lot of experimenting. The other pictures were taken during the summer; we had so much fun last time, we did it again. We were both inspired by Jordan Matter and his work, the way he freezes people in the air and has bold colors. My favorite picture I’ve ever taken is still the one with her doing the grand battement on the stairs in her trench coat of the abandoned industrial building.”
