Valentine’s Day is a contentious holiday for many. On one hand, it’s an encouraging time for couples to celebrate their love, on the other it’s seen as an arbitrary commercialization of love. Regardless of where you stand, there is no doubt that we all enjoy spending time with significant others and that we’ll take time to do that whenever we can. Valentine’s Day, aside from the commercial elements, can be a good time to intentionally take that time, especially if you need an excuse to take a day off in a society that seemingly never prioritizes slowing down. With that being said, I’d like to get you in the mood for love, in the feels, and in a space where all that matters is the person beside you– whoever that is, wherever that may be, and whatever that may entail.
