Soccer

In a season that saw the most ODAC wins (six) by the program since 2011, the Royals finished the year with a 9-9-1 record and reached the quarter-finals of the ODAC tournament. A 4-3 win in double overtime against Randolph, a 6-0 beatdown of Gallaudet, and a 3-1 victory on Senior Recognition Night are a few highlights of the team’s accomplishments this season. Junior Jesus Trejo led the team in scoring with five goals. Seniors Emmanuel Kampanga, Emmanuel Boamah, Erik Peachey, Dominic Powers, and Dave Drafton are the team’s graduating seniors.

Basketball

An average of 71 points per game and a 44.7% FG conversion rate landed the Royals in 10th place in the ODAC conference with a 10- 16 record. The team put up 90 or more points on the board in four games throughout the season. Senior Travis Clower and sophomore Tim Jones led the team with 342 and 319 points, respectively, with senior Sammy Thomas close behind at 299. Clower and Thomas, along with Xavier McCants, Josh Good, Christian Hansen, Tariq Caldwell, Mark Loving III, and Chad Simmons are the team’s graduating seniors.

Volleyball

From the get-go, the men’s volleyball team could not find the momentum they were hoping for this year, losing 13 of their first 14 matches. The men earned four victories throughout the season, which came against Immaculata, Cairn, Neumann, and Randolph-Macon. Seniors Travis Abele (222 pts), Hunter Taylor (161.5 pts) and R.J. Ocampo (146 pts) were the Royals’ top scorers. For much of the season, sophomore Wyatt Bollinger took on the role of setter, racking up 274 assists. Senior Austin Tomlin will graduate along with Abele, Taylor, and Ocampo.

Baseball

The baseball men are currently 15-20-1 overall (8th in ODACs), with a doubleheader at Virginia Wesleyan still to play. Sophomore Brett Lindsay has racked up 50 hits on the season. Sophomore Jaylon Lee has homered eight times and has 37 RBIs. Season highlights include a 13-inning, 14-13 victory at home against Guilford and a walk-off by sophomore Ray Tricarico in the 12th inning of a home game against Randolph-Macon.

Golf

Five of the team’s six golfers broke their career lows this year: seniors Austin Sachs (74) and Riley Kingsley (73), junior Chris Fenn (85), sophomore Benjamin Shenk (75), and first-year Christopher Elliott (79). Senior Lucas Miller’s lowest round this season was 74, narrowly missing his personal low of 73.
