It has been 11 years since EMU last hosted a track meet. This past saturday, Salem International University, Eastern Mennonite University, and its alumni competed in the EMU Legacy Invitational. This weekend was also senior recognition for EMU track and field .
EMU had notable performances from senior Grant Amoateng with first place in both long jump and triple jump, first-year Alijah Johnson with a PR of 11.12 seconds which earned him first place in the 100 meter dash, first-year Coy Jimenez, who was recovering from an injury and won a close race with teammate senior Ivan Harris in the 400 meter dash, and first-year Wade Banks who won both the 110 and 400 meter hurdles with a PR in the 400 meter.

Ivan Harris earns 55.67 in the 400m race.
