Baseball

The baseball team had some tough games over the weekend, losing nail-biters to Guilford College 7-6 and 4-3. Junior Daniel Scott had a good series, going 4-10 (.400) with a homerun and three RBIs between the two games. With the losses, the Diamond Royals fall to 11-18 on the season and 2-10 in the ODAC. The team’s next games will be this Saturday at ODAC opponent #8 Randolph-Macon College (20-3-1, 10-1 ODAC).

Softball

The softball team also had some tough losses over the weekend, losing to Lynchburg College 5-4 and 6-4. First-year Kelsi Martin went 3-3 with two RBIs in the first game before pitching two scoreless innings in the nightcap. With the losses the Lady Royals are now 15-11 on the season and 3-7 in the ODAC. The team will be on the road this weekend to take on #25 Emory & Henry (21-7, 2-4 ODAC).

Men’s Volleyball

The men’s volleyball team was able to secure a spot in the CVC tournament over the weekend, winning 3-0 over Baruch before losing to #10 Vassar 3-0. The Royals finished the regular season with a 20-12 record and a 8-5 CVC record. The team will play Juniata College in the first round of the tournament.
